Cuban Baseball Pitcher Aroldis Chapman Buys $2.25M Waterfront Home In FL

Baseball pitcher Aroldis Chapman, who defected from Cuba two years ago, came to the US and signed a 6 year, $30.25M contract last January with the Cincinnati Reds. Chapman is known for throwing the fastest pitch in MLB history. He broke the record by hitting 105 mph on the radar gun during a game last September. Then he beat his old mark by launching a 106 mph pitch this April.

Chapman just purchased his new 10,548 sq-ft home for $2.25M. The massive waterfront home was built in 2005 and has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and sits on a 1.5 acre lot. The custom 2 story home features 5 bedroom suites, a theater room, sports bar, fully equipped workout room, marble flooring throughout, impact glass, custom cabinets and built ins, coral stone columns and balconies, a resort style outdoor pool with waterfall and spa, a 1500 sq-ft covered patio area that has a custom made bar and BBQ, a 2 car garage, and a 2200 sq-ft 5 car garage as well.

I'm a Real Estate Broker in Bellevue, WA and have been actively involved in the real estate industry for over 10 years. Helping people find their family's own "Home Sweet Home" is something I truly enjoy. I also love simply looking at homes; the design, architecture, quality, and every feature that makes each home unique. Recently I also had the opportunity to feature and host a home on HGTV’s “Million Dollar Rooms”. Take a look at some very unique and amazing homes owned by Professional Athletes. Enjoy!
