Matt Cain, starting pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, has finally sold his San Francisco home for $1.8M according to Curbed.com. Cain has been attempting to sell his home for the last 3 years, after he bought it back in 2008. He had it on the market for $1.95M, and then reduced it to $1.795M. According to Redfin.com, the $1.8M purchase was final on 3/13/12.
Cain’s remodeled Mid-Century house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and is 2,815 sq-ft. The home has incredible San Francisco Bay views and shows off the huge floor to ceiling windows that let in an ample amount of natural light into the big open floor plan. The top floor includes an open living and dining room, a den with could act as a 5th bedroom, solarium, luxurious kitchen with 6-burner Thermador range, Bosch dishwasher, microwave, 2 Master Suites, complete sound-system plus desk area with iPod dock and computer station.
