Golf superstar, Fred Couples, just recently bought an exquisite Spanish Colonial home in the Brentwood area of LA for $4.557M. Couples was living in his La Quinta, CA home that had been on the market for $4.195M; however, according to Trulia.com, Couples purchased his new Brentwood home as of April 4, 2012 and his La Quinta, CA home is now off the market.

The golf pro’s new Brentwood house is 5,661 sq-ft and has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a gated entry, lush gardens, and high-end finished throughout the entire estate. The home includes a private courtyard with gas lanterns, a large foyer with grand staircase, gourmet kitchen, rich hardwood & limestone floors, arched openings, crown moldings, extensive built-ins, an open family room, and French doors that connect the indoor living rooms to the outdoor living room and terrace. There’s also an outdoor fireplace, custom in-ground pool, spa and a detached guest house. Couples home was originally built to have 5 bedrooms and a maid’s quarters, however, the home presently has a massive laundry room, gigantic his & hers master closets, an upstairs family room, and 3 bedrooms.

Couples turned pro in 1980 and joined the PGA Tour in 1982. He won the 2011 Senior Players Championship and the 1992 Masters Tournament.
